One-Day Film Set Assistant
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m shooting a film/video project and need a capable production assistant for a single-day call. You’ll start with the crew to unload the van, build out lights, stands, and monitors, and finish the day by striking and packing every piece of gear so nothing goes missing.
During the shoot you’ll keep an eye on cables, move equipment between setups, swap batteries, and generally make sure the set flows smoothly. Because this is a film production, I’m looking for someone who already understands basic camera, grip, and lighting gear, follows on-set protocols without hand-holding, and is comfortable with the physical side of the job—lifting cases, standing for long stretches, and moving quickly when the DP calls for it.
Call time will be early afternoon morning, wrapping at 11:30pm, with dinner provided.
Deliverables
• Gear fully assembled and operational before the first shot
• Safe, orderly set maintained throughout the day
• Complete, organized teardown and load-out at wrap
If you have recent set credits and can hit the ground running, please tell me a bit about them and what gear you’re most familiar with. Looking forward to working together for a smooth, efficient shoot day.
