I am looking for a videographer to film documentary footage of Bonfire Societies live event (Sat. Nov. 11, 2023) in South Heighton, Newhaven, UK. Local camera person or near area preferred.
The Bonfire Night (Nov. 11) event officially starts at 6:30pm, running until about 8:30pm, but due to crowds and closed roads, you'd likely need to get there earlier. We'd like someone to film the event for our indie documentary filled with other folk events.
Basically we need someone to go film the procession, bonfire and fireworks event of Bonfire Night (aka Guy Fawkes Day). Lots of fire, torches and crowd spectacle; shots of banners, signs, effigies and the like. There will be loud noises, etc. so please don't apply if you have sensitivities to this kind of environment.
Footage requirements are documentary style, continuous shots of procession members carrying torches, flaming displays, banners, signs, effigies and other materials; filming the bonfire and any effigies burned in it; also filming some bonus "quick" man-on-the-street-style interviews with participants, leaders, or bystanders regarding the meaning of Bonfire Night tradition, history, etc. using onboard microphone or other equipment.
***The only tricky part is that streets close around 5pm, so entrance to downtown area (near Hamden Arms) is only accessible by train or on foot; the site says no parking available in town. If you are local, you'll know. If you're in a nearby town, a 5pm train (for example) would likely get you there in plenty of time. Approx 2-3 hours of filming plus consideration for travel time/cost (estimated) and nominal entrance fee (5 pounds).

We'd like compelling footage, showing the drama of the event, "symbolic elements" including bonfire, effigies, torches, slogans, signage/banners, etc. and, ideally, someone connected to the event explaining some key history and purpose of the event.
Footage needs to be in full HD 1080p or better. Preference 24p NTSC or 30p NTSC, but 25fps PAL also acceptable. Will arrange for you to upload raw footage clips after the event has been filmed (footage to be transferred within 1 week, or by Nov. 18, 2023) via our Dropbox account, or your similar file sharing service.
