Edit 25-Min Indie Drama
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I have wrapped principal photography on “MICRO,” a 15–25 minute social-drama set in an engineering college during exam week. The language slips naturally between Marathi and English and the tone stays restrained, tense and non-preachy. Now I need an editor who can bring that tension to the surface without flashy tricks—story always comes first.
What matters most is the way small choices ripple through the narrative. Cuts should highlight character behavior and the moral stakes beneath seemingly routine interactions. You will be working with mostly mixed scenes that alternate between brisk dialogue and quiet observational moments; a balanced pace—letting silence breathe, then tightening when pressure mounts—will serve the film best.
I’ll hand over:
• Footage in 4K ProRes with dual-system sound
• Continuity notes and a director’s paper edit
• Reference clips that capture the rhythm I’m after
You’ll return:
• One locked picture cut ready for sound design and grade
• A change log of major editorial decisions
• Optional: a 60-90 second festival teaser if time allows
We shot on a lean indie schedule, so resourcefulness with low-budget projects is a plus. Prior work on dialogue-heavy shorts or trailers will help you hit the right pacing curve quickly.
Tools are your choice—Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Avid—so long as the final delivery meets standard festival specs (24 fps, 4K DCI scope, 5.1 stems split L/R/C/Lfe/Ls/Rs).
