Edit Horror Short Film
Budget: $10 – $30 AUD
I have all the raw 4K footage for a horror short and need a skilled editor to turn it into a polished final cut. The director and I want the tension to build through well-timed, classic cuts—nothing flashy or rapid-fire—so the atmosphere has room to breathe. Its just a 3 min movie and needs a rough edit.
You’ll receive the script, shot log, synced WAV audio, and a rough assembly timeline. Your brief is to refine pacing, shape performances, balance dialogue, lay in temp SFX or score where silence feels empty, and add simple opening/closing titles. Two feedback passes should be enough for us to lock picture.
Deliverables
• Picture-locked edit (ProRes or DNxHR master)
• Project file (Premiere Pro, Avid, or DaVinci—use whichever you prefer)
• EDL or XML for color grade hand-off
• One H.264 reference export for review
