Help with Filemaker Pro data file, icloud, Macbook pro data transfer issues to new MBP

Hello! i a have a new Macbook Pro Late 2019 MBP 16” (old MBP is Mid 2012) I need assistance with a few setup issues involving the move from old to new computer
Filemaker pro file issue, -am using filmmaker pro 16 and there are 2 files that work fine on my old MacBook, but i can’t find them on my old or new MacBook..when i do a search for them i can only find them as FM 12 files…i see the FM16 program files but no FM16 date files at all
moving Macbook files to a new MacBook: i spent alot of time before i deleted my files that were on my old computer, to make sure that they were showing in iCloud also. so i started deleting all the files that were showing up on iCloud thinking i could get rid of them so that i had a cleaner transfer of files (would only have to deal with pictures and music. I never emptied the trash thank goodness i wish i had done a backup before…on old computer i have all these files now on desktop (not very well organized) iCloud is confusing to me!

iCloud understanding, how pictures and files work with iCloud. i want the pictures in the pictures program on my MacBook to be independent of all my other mac pictures that are on phone and iPad (if i want pictures from there i will use AirDrop to do so iCloud is confusing to me!
Will need someone that can connect remotely with my computers and has good english communication
