FileMaker(point of sale) to Clover semi-integration

need help integrating our point of sale app (built in FileMaker) with Clover Flex device to take credit card payments in shop. Our app will handle the sale... we want the Clover device to be customer facing and handle the charge. Clover API documentation refers to it as a semi-integration.
