We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Freelance Senior UI/UX Designer (Part-Time) with over 6 years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the design of user interfaces and experiences for our suite of healthcare applications, including Electronic Health Records (EHR), telemedicine platforms, and patient management systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are visually compelling, user-friendly, and compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Leadership: Create and refine high-fidelity prototypes, mockups, and interactive designs using tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD.
User-Centered Design: Conduct in-depth user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
Interaction & Visual Design: Develop intuitive interaction flows, micro-interactions, and engaging visual layouts that enhance user experience.
Responsive Design: Ensure all interfaces are optimized for cross-device functionality and accessibility.
Information Architecture: Develop and maintain clear, logical navigation systems and design structures that simplify complex healthcare data.
Compliance and Accessibility: Implement design practices that meet WCAG and HIPAA guidelines, ensuring accessibility for all users.
Collaboration: Work alongside product managers, developers, and healthcare experts in an agile environment to iterate and improve designs continuously.
Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior designers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the design team.
Required Qualifications:
6+ years of proven UI/UX design experience in complex, high-stakes environments, preferably within the healthcare industry.
Advanced proficiency in design and prototyping tools and platforms such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Adobe ImageReady, InVision, Axure, Marvel and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong expertise in wireframing (Balsamiq, InVision, Axure, Marvel, Figma) interactive prototyping, and responsive design techniques.
Deep understanding of user research methodologies, usability testing, and data-driven design decisions.
Experience in designing for accessibility and regulatory compliance (e.g., WCAG, HIPAA).
Familiarity with agile development processes and collaborative tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Excellent visual design skills and attention to detail with a robust portfolio demonstrating successful projects.
Healthcare domain knowledge and the ability to translate clinical requirements into effective digital solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
