Lead Software Engineer

As a Lead Software Engineer at Heca, you will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of our software solutions. You will work collaboratively with a talented team, including three back-end developers, two front-end developers, designers, testers, and in coordination with the company founder. While the position is full remote, there might be occasional introduction days or weeks in our office in Ortona, CH.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of software projects, ensuring high quality, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with the team to design, develop, and deploy robust software solutions.
- Take ownership of complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
- Work closely with the direction team to align technical strategies with the company's objectives.
- Implement project management tools to streamline project planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Requirements:
- Proficiency in English is mandatory for effective communication within our international team.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
- Expertise in the CakePHP framework.
- Proven experience in leading software development projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of best practices in software development, including design patterns, code reviews, and testing.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
