Project Description – Figma-Based Pylon Sign Configurator
We are a signage manufacturer looking for a freelancer to create a Figma-based interactive configurator for pylon signs. This will be used for client custom selection, visualisation, and approvals, not e-commerce. The configurator should allow clients to visually select options and instantly see the sign update.
Purpose
The configurator should let clients configure pylon signage visually, capture their name and email before approval, provide both the client and our team with a copy of the submission, and allow the final design to be exported as a PDF. It should avoid creating pre-built combinations or individual product SKUs.
Scope of Work
The base pylon sign should be scalable and maintain consistent proportions across all configurations. Create size variants for 3.5m, 6m, 7m, 9m, and 12m. Include a fixed header section with graphics that can be swapped. Include a fuel price and fuel type area that adapts to the size of the pylon. Include modular panel zones below the fuel pricing area with single or double panel layouts. Panels should be independently swappable without creating fixed combinations and layout should adapt based on pylon size.
Use Figma components, variants, instance swapping, and layer visibility. Do not create separate pages or files for each configuration. Include a step for clients to enter their name and email before final approval. The submission should provide a copy to the client and to our team. This can be implemented via an external form link or a prototype flow in Figma.
The configurator should be easy for non-designers to use, with clearly labelled layers and variants. It should be shareable via Figma link for client review. Configured designs must be exportable as PDFs with optional inclusion of client name, date, and reference number.
Deliverables
A single Figma file including the master pylon component, size variants, modular headers, fuel sections, and panel components. A simple approval flow including client details capture, approval-ready layout, clear component and variant naming, and instructions for adding new graphics, exporting PDFs, and using the client details capture. Optional enhancements include simple configuration rules, placeholder graphics, and an approval summary frame.

No e-commerce, checkout, pricing automation, or custom backend development.
