Landslide Assessment in Rural Agricultural area
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I am in need of a geological evaluation of an existing landslide in a rural agricultural area in Solano County. Your tasks will encompass:
A site visit to get an understanding of the history of the landslide and what the property owner's goals are for the property.
General investigation of soil and rock composition for better understanding of underlying causes and to better manage future impacts of the soil movement.
Identifying the factors contributing to this landslide is important, particularly in relation to heavy rainfall and slope instability.
A California registered geologist would be preferred but other experience in the evaluation and stabilization of landslides especially in Solano County would be considered. Experience with rural or agricultural land would be a plus, as well as the ability to discuss the implications of the findings with other professionals. Ability to work in field conditions is also desired.
