UK Market Research in Payment Solutions

Hi Freelancer Team,

We are conducting a market research project in the UK to better understand the pain points experienced by SME merchants using payment terminals and POS systems.

We are looking for experienced field sales representatives, preferably with a background in payment solutions, merchant acquiring, fintech, or B2B sales.

We are currently looking for the following:
1. Field Interviewers
- Conduct face-to-face interviews with SME merchants at their business premises.
- Experience in payment sales or merchant acquiring is preferred.
- We are happy to offer an hourly base rate plus commission for each completed interview or qualified lead generated.

2. Field Canvassers
- Independently canvass target merchants.
- Conduct interviews and complete survey questionnaires on-site.
- Each interview will consist of approximately 15–20 questions and will take up to 30 minutes to complete.

The interview will broadly cover:
- General questions about the merchant's current payment terminal and POS providers, approximate monthly card turnover or transaction volume, current pricing, and any pain points.
- A presentation of selected products and key selling points, followed by questions about which offerings the merchant finds attractive or unattractive, and why.
- If the merchant expresses interest, their details (with consent) will be recorded so that our sales team can follow up at a later stage.

Our target is approximately 30 completed interviews per interviewer per day. We are happy to discuss the appropriate quotas by city, industry sector, and merchant size if required.
