Semi-Erotic Interactive Fiction Writers Wanted
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I'm in need of talented writers to create semi-erotic interactive fiction books with a romantic and intimate tone. This will be a long-term project, so I'm looking for someone who can commit to ongoing work.
**Project details:**
Interactive fiction scripts are dialogue-driven with multiple choices in every chapter and every choice gives the reader the power to shape the story. Current book has 9 chapters. Genre is lesbian romance. Each episode has a word count of 5000 words.
**Responsibilities:**
- Write purely dialogue-driven scripts with multiple choices that has the perfect balance of romance and erotic scenes.
- Use your creativity to shape the story and develop tasteful chapters. Outline provided for the first six chapters. You must be able to develop outlines for the remaining twelve chapters based on the book idea. This is to give creative liberty to the writer to shape the story and enjoy the process.
- Adhere to reasonable (mutually agreed upon) deadlines and submit three chapters a week.
- Ensure you meet the word count.
**Requirements:**
- Must be willing to submit a writing sample of 3000-4000 words based on the outline I provide. This is only to understand if you'd be a good fit to write in the interactive fiction format or not.
- Must have excellent creative writing skills to write witty and sharp dialogues/narratives.
- Must be comfortable and enjoy writing erotica and romance.
- Must be able to learn and write interactive fiction with multiple choices.
- Must be smart to understand and abide by formatting and general writing guidelines.
- Must have the availability to submit three chapters a week.
- Must have an excellent command on English.
- Must be proactive in communicating and a thorough professional.
**Payment:** $0.01/word.
**Why should you consider applying?**
- If we enjoy working on this book, we'd like to develop many books of similar kind on a continuous basis. So it is solid long term work.
- Target audience is teens and young adults. So, while writing must have depth, it does not gravitate towards literary. Just imagine writing a fun spicy rom-com. It takes lesser time and effort comparatively.
- Each chapter of 5000 words does not take more than 2 hours to write in the experience of other writers working with us. Just initial 1-2 chapters take more time.
- There is a lot of freedom given to writers to shape the story. We only interfere and give feedback on writing that is sloppy, dragged, boring, and/or not apt for the interactive format. The feedback usually reduces drastically once the writer has understood our expectations.
- Proper (but easy-to-understand) training documents are shared to set expectations and give clarity as much as possible right from the start.
- Available to discuss anytime (figuratively since there could be a time zone difference).
- Overall, really fun to work on as you settle in.
