Red Ink Chronicles
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Genre: Slice of Life / Supernatural / Comedy-Drama / Mystery
Target Audience: Young Adults, Professionals, Anime Fans with a love for literature or media
Premise:
In a world where stories have real power, a secret guild of "Copy Editors" exists to maintain the balance between truth and fiction. Each typo, plot hole, or inconsistency in the world’s written content risks creating chaos in reality—manifesting as “Glitches” (monsters or anomalies born from bad writing).
The protagonist, Hana Kisaragi, is a rookie but gifted copy editor with the rare ability to “see errors in reality.” Recruited into The Red Ink Division, she joins a team of eccentric editors who use enchanted red pens, digital glyphs, and deep literary knowledge to fix corrupted content—both digital and magical.
Core Elements:
Red Pens as Weapons – Each editor uses a stylized pen or device to “slash” through typos or combat monsters formed from bad grammar or misinformation.
Character Archetypes:
Hana Kisaragi – The idealistic newcomer with a love for language and order.
Gen Tsukasa – The grumpy senior editor obsessed with consistency.
Mei Fontana – A bubbly designer who doubles as a layout witch.
Prof. Serif – The team’s mysterious mentor and ex-novelist.
Mini-Arcs – Each episode tackles a corrupted manuscript or article: haunted romance novels, viral fake news causing hysteria, or censored historical texts that create “memory voids.”
VA Side-Thread – Hana also moonlights as a virtual assistant, and her clients sometimes unknowingly feed her real-world leads on broken texts and digital anomalies.
Target Audience: Young Adults, Professionals, Anime Fans with a love for literature or media
