Seeking Talented Ghostwriter for Military Fiction Exploring PTSD and the Veteran Experience

About the Project
I am searching for a skilled ghostwriter to collaborate on a compelling work of military fiction narrated from a third-person perspective. The story delves deep into themes of PTSD and the (my) veteran experience, aiming to authentically represent the lives of those who've served and their interactions with the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA).

What I Bring
I have already penned approximately 60 pages (23,000 words) outlining significant chapters of my life. These include growing up around the world, which shaped my worldview, and joining the Australian Defence Force with deployments to Iraq and twice to Afghanistan. I participated in critical national security missions during Border Protection Operations and later served with the Queensland Police Service (QPS) and a sworn officer, eventually returning as a Police Recruit Instructor. After separating from the QPS, I worked as a private contractor at the Australian Embassy in Afghanistan and managed to return just before the withdrawal. I currently work as an police instructor (non-sworn member).

Within these experiences, I've detailed numerous wartime events (some quite graphic) and personal anecdotes that provide a rich foundation for the narrative. The book aims to candidly explore my 15-year struggle with mental health since discharging from fulltime service, including PTSD, highlighting coping mechanisms and the facade of normalcy in daily life. I believe this story will resonate with fellow veterans facing similar challenges and educate readers about the daily struggles veterans endure.

Personal Motivation
This project is deeply personal for me and serves multiple purposes. Firstly, I see it as a vessel for my ongoing healing journey. Secondly, it is a means to explain my struggles to my loved ones, who know little of what I have endured. Lastly, I hope it will help others facing similar challenges by shedding light on the realities of mental health struggles among veterans.

Project Goals and Key Elements
The story should provide a genuine portrayal of veteran experiences and interactions with the DVA, offering an insightful narrative that sheds light on the hardships and victories of veterans dealing with PTSD. It is intended to not only tell a story but also serve as a beacon for others in similar situations, making a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans and those who support them.

Ideal Ghostwriter Qualifications
I am looking for someone with a proven track record in writing fiction, especially military-themed stories, who has a deep understanding of PTSD and the complexities of the veteran experience. The ideal ghostwriter will have an exceptional ability to craft a captivating and empathetic third-person narrative.
