Job Title: Backend Engineer
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Backend / Infrastructure Engineer to build robust, scalable backend
services and design the infrastructure that powers our product and the associated data stack.
You’ll work to design & build APIs and microservices while building orchestration layers and
stateful systems that are production-ready, performant and highly available.
You should be skilled in modern Python-based ecosystems, comfortable working across
cloud-native infrastructure, and passionate about developer experience, performance, and data
quality.

What You'll Do:
● Design and build scalable, maintainable backend services and APIs using Python
(FastAPI, Celery et al)
● Design and implement datastore schemas and manage data models
● Collaborate with engineers to define data contracts and service interfaces following
best-practices around SOA paradigms
● Build infrastructure around structured logging and data asset accumulation for
future-facing AI-forward features
● Establish and own infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD processes
● Drive observability, monitoring, and reliability practices across services and pipelines
● Evaluate and introduce best-in-class tools across the stack—backend, data processing,
and infrastructure

● Knowledge of event-driven architectures and CDC (Change Data Capture) patterns
