Python FastAPI Backend Developer – In-App & Email Notifications
Project Overview:
We are looking for an experienced FastAPI backend developer to build a personalized notification system for our platform. The initial focus will be on in-app notifications with some support for email notifications.
If the work is delivered well, this can extend into a long-term engagement with continuous backend development projects.
Responsibilities:
Develop notification APIs in FastAPI.
Build in-app notifications triggered by user activity.
Add basic email notification support.
Ensure notifications are personalized, reliable, and scalable.
Work with our existing database tables (schema will be shared).
Deliver clear documentation and handover.
Required Skills:
Strong expertise in FastAPI backend development.
Experience with JWT authentication & OAuth2 (Google, Microsoft, Apple sign-in).
Solid knowledge of REST APIs, CRUD operations, and API security.
Performance optimization for scalable systems.
Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, and microservices architecture.
Good database knowledge (MySQL).
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Nice to Have:
Prior work on notification or messaging systems.
Experience with personalization logic.
Deployment experience (Docker/Kubernetes).
