Long-term Fashion illustrator for gothic/romantic clothing brand
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
We are looking for a skilled fashion illustrator to work long term, developing all our brand's new styles each month, while the rest of our team focuses on merchandising, production, marketing and other aspects of the fashion business.
It is imperative that you can adapt to our brand's style and this will be what we are looking for in your proposal. This job will pay you for a unique design to determine if you will be a good fit long term. Please check the attachments to gain a sense of our brand. You will be asked to develop 1 full look, for summer, with any pieces you'd like (such as top, dress, shorts, skirt, bralette, crop top, tank top, blouse, cardigan, etc), as well as each garment in the look, front and back. It doesn't need to be tech pack ready, but your images should be clear as to what fabrics might be used and where seams might be located.
Please include items from your portfolio and preferably any that best match the garments attached in this job post.
If hired, you won't necessarily be given much direction in the specific garment details, colors, or fabric, unless there is a direction we are looking for, such as "10 fall outfits, each with a cardigan" or "10 winter coats". You may be provided fabric swatches and other fabric details. The format for these designs will take the shape of: The full look, then detail of each garment in the look, front and back, with clear lines to help with developing specifications for production. You may need to include some construction detail, but only if something is unclear in your design intent.
We're looking for originality as it relates to the brand's romantic gothic clothing style. You may include elements such as, but not limited to: aplique, metallic notions, belts, eyelets, grommets, lace, gathering, pleating, leggings, but nothing too excessively goth or dark, for instance.
