Design Modular Nylon Waist Bags
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I’m building a small line of modular nylon waist bags and need a designer who can take the concept from idea to factory-ready files. The core of the project is a smart, everyday waist bag that can expand or re-configure by clipping on extra pouches.
Scope of work
• Create a detailed bag blueprint with pattern pieces, stitch lines, and material call-outs.
• Specify lightweight, durable nylon for the exterior plus a water-resistant lining.
• Integrate the following features:
– Multiple compartments that can clip on and off and rotate
– Fully adjustable waist/hip strap
– Modular clip-on system using snaps, slides, or clasps so add-on pockets can attach or detach quickly
• Provide material and hardware BOM, colourways, and tech-pack notes that a manufacturer can quote from.
• Deliver clear 2D CAD drawings or Illustrator files, plus mock-ups or a basic sewn sample that proves functionality.
The ideal collaborator understands bag construction, can recommend reliable zippers, webbing, and coating treatments, and is comfortable iterating until the tech pack is production-ready.
Timeline is flexible but I’d like to move into sampling soon after finalising the design. If you have comparable projects—especially modular or outdoor gear—please include them in your reply.
