Denim Coat Design Modification

I have a baggy denim coat/jacket that I need to be tailored into a more flattering shape. Currently, it curves around my butt in an unappealing way. I've used a safety pin to temporarily tighten it at the back which doesn't curve my bum but I need a permanent solution.
