Job ID: 40034557

Budget: $100 – $250 USD

We are seeking for a paralegal in Texas or a paralegal that has experience working with Texas court filing system laws to put together a complete, ready-to-file packet so my client can file an emergency petition in Ellis County (ZIP 75154) for full adult Guardianship of her father. To remove her father from a nursing home. At the moment the client does not hold any legal authority over him, so the paperwork must be airtight and meet every local formatting and service rule the clerk’s office expects.

Scope
• Draft an Emergency Petition for Conservatorship/Guardianship that satisfies the Texas Estates Code and any Ellis County addenda.
• Prepare the companion Letters of Conservatorship/Guardianship.
• Draft and, before final delivery, review all supporting financial and medical components that demonstrate necessity for guardianship.
• Provide a brief checklist of filing steps, required fees, and any county-specific notices or service requirements so I can complete the process pro se.

Deliverables
1. Editable Word versions and print-ready PDFs of the Petition and Letters.
2. Supporting financial/medical declaration templates, completed with the information I supply.
3. One revision round to incorporate clerk feedback, if any, before filing.

Acceptance criteria: documents must pass the Ellis County clerk’s pre-filing review without rejection for form, citations, or signature blocks; language must clearly convey my request for authority over both financial and health-care decisions.

Experience with Texas guardianships and knowledge of local e-filing conventions will be decisive.
