Custody Jurisdiction Docs Review

Job ID: 39955871

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m preparing paperwork for an ongoing custody matter and need a family-law professional to make sure everything is filed in the right place, with the right court, and under the correct state rules.

Scope
• Review the jurisdictional basis for the case, focusing specifically on residency requirements and court authority.
• Identify any red flags that could trigger a dismissal or transfer.
• Draft or edit the supporting jurisdictional statement and any related forms so they are ready for submission.
• Provide clear, cited references to the state statutes or case law you rely on.

What I’m looking for
You should be comfortable with UCCJEA analysis, know how to verify minimum-residency thresholds, and be able to explain court competence in plain English. If you already have templates for jurisdictional affidavits or declarations, feel free to adapt them for my situation.

Deliverables
1. A marked-up version of my existing draft (Word or Google Docs).
2. A clean, court-ready version.
3. A short memo (one to two pages) summarizing your findings and next-step recommendations.

Turnaround
Ideally within one week, but let me know if you need a little more time for thorough statutory checks.
