Fb campaign

I have a martial arts school and every year I give a percentage to sponsored ads on fb. Because I target a specific limited radius of one kilometer I do nothing more than a simple advertisement and it pays off. I'm wondering if I could do something more drastic with retargeting campaigns or other tips that I can't think of. I would like someone to guide me on this but not just make me a campaign but explain what I could do better so I can learn to implement it myself.
