Project Description

We are looking for an experienced Remote Marketing Director to lead marketing strategy, performance marketing, brand growth, CRM, website optimization, and multi-channel campaign execution for Lane Automotive.

Lane Automotive is a premier supplier of high-performance automotive parts and accessories, serving racers, hot rodders, truck owners, and off-road enthusiasts worldwide. The company operates in the performance automotive aftermarket industry with a strong ecommerce platform, distribution network, and established market reputation.

This is a senior-level freelance leadership role for a marketing professional who can manage both strategy and execution. The selected freelancer will help improve marketing ROI, lead campaigns, manage budgets, oversee marketing operations, optimize digital channels, and report results clearly to leadership.

This role is suitable for a serious, experienced marketing leader with strong knowledge of ecommerce, performance marketing, customer acquisition, CRM, website conversion, and multi-brand growth.

All communication, file sharing, project coordination, milestone setup, invoicing, and payments must remain on Freelancer.com.

Role Objective

The main objective of this role is to build and scale a strong marketing engine across multiple business units and brands.

The selected freelancer will help Lane Automotive:

Key Responsibilities

The Marketing Director will be responsible for:

Developing and executing marketing strategy across multiple brands and channels
Managing marketing plans, campaign priorities, and growth roadmaps
Leading marketing team members across performance, content, CRM, ecommerce, and digital functions
Managing marketing budgets and improving ROI across campaigns
Overseeing Google Ads, Meta Ads, social media, content, website, and CRM initiatives
Reviewing campaign performance, ROAS, CAC, CPA, CTR, conversion rates, and revenue impact
Improving website performance, landing pages, CMS workflows, UX, and ecommerce conversion
Managing or overseeing CRM systems, customer data, lead tracking, and marketing automation
Ensuring brand consistency across website, ads, email, social media, and customer-facing materials
Creating performance reports and presenting clear recommendations to leadership
Coordinating with internal teams, external agencies, vendors, and business partners

Required Experience

2–5+ years of marketing experience
Senior marketing, growth marketing, or marketing director experience
Experience managing marketing teams or cross-functional marketing operations
Experience with ecommerce, distribution, retail, or product-based businesses
Experience managing multiple brands, business units, or product categories
Strong understanding of ROI-driven marketing strategy
Hands-on knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, CRM, CMS, and reporting systems
Experience improving ROAS, CAC, CPA, conversion rates, and revenue attribution
Strong ability to analyze campaign, revenue, customer, and CRM data
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
Ability to work independently in a remote freelance environment

Experience in automotive, aftermarket parts, performance products, ecommerce, retail, or distribution is preferred but not required.

Working Style

This is a remote freelance role. Some overlap with U.S. business hours is preferred for leadership meetings, campaign reviews, and reporting.

The freelancer should be comfortable working with:

Executive leadership

Ecommerce and operations teams
External agencies and vendors
Content, design, advertising, and technical contributors

The right person must be able to manage strategy, execution, reporting, team coordination, and performance improvement.

Compensation

Budget range: USD $100–$200/hour, depending on experience, scope, and agreed responsibilities.

A performance-based bonus may also be considered for strong results tied to revenue growth, marketing ROI, campaign performance, and measurable business impact.

The selected freelancer who is awarded the project and successfully completes the required onboarding documents, including the CV form and NDA, may receive a one-time $100 onboarding bonus, paid only through Freelancer.com as an approved milestone or platform payment.

Onboarding and NDA

After the project is awarded, the selected freelancer may be asked to complete required onboarding documents, including a CV information form and NDA.

Any required document sharing, signing, communication, milestone setup, invoicing, and payment will be handled through Freelancer.com.

Long-Term Opportunity

This is intended to be a long-term freelance leadership opportunity. For the right candidate, the role may expand into a broader senior marketing leadership position, with potential growth toward a Chief Marketing Officer-level function depending on performance and company needs.
