FB Ad Account Setup Assistance

I have a Facebook account for a business and am a Co-Admin. I've successfully run Facebook Ads to boost followers for this page: www.facebook.com/2hoodssubbook.
Now, I am trying to recruit submarine veterans in an area near Boston through this Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/173254769394929.
I've been made Co-Admin by the main page creator, but I'm unable to run ads directly from the group page. I understand Facebook requires logging in as a person, not directly as a page.
I need help setting up this group so it can be used to run ads effectively. Specifically:
- Guidance on configuration/setup for the group/page to allow running ads.
- Explanation of necessary steps and permissions involved to accomplish this.
