Maintain Browser Extension Connection to Telnyx in Background

Job ID: 37402195

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

We have a working extension for Google Chrome written in React. The extension works perfect as long as the browser is kept open. When browser is closed (but still active in system tray) notifications do not work as it looses its connection with Telnyx.

We need a fix so that the connection is maintained when browser is closed. Test requirements for a successful delivery will be that notifications work when browser is closed, ONLY system tray browser background is open.

Successful candidate will be given access to our github repo to make commits and deliver the project.

We will also provide code for a working extension written in jQuery (with Twilio) to prove concept that it does work. The ideal candidate will be one that knows both Telnyx and Twilio & React and jQuery, easy to understand what works in jQuery and convert the solution to our React/Telnyx extension.

Successful Candidate will be 100% proficient and work on their own. We will award the job, candidate will deliver working code, we will take 1 hour to test and release the funds. Anything other than this will get the project canceled.

Skills and Experience:
- Must provide examples of almost identical working project.
- Experience in developing and maintaining browser extensions for Google Chrome
- Familiarity with Telnyx, Twilio and its APIs
- Proficiency in React, jQuery and other relevant web technologies

The project involves working with an existing extension that focuses on voice calling functionality. The main goal is to ensure a seamless and reliable connection between the extension and Telnyx while the browser is closed.

We are not going to train or teach you to code. For example: IF you do not understand how to "Inspect WS network logs" and/or you do not know what WS stands for, please please do not submit this project.
