Word Docs with Excel Mail Merge To Dropdown with Content That Is Replaced

We currently have a word doc and an excel file that we mail merge together for a sales pitch. We are finding it difficult to use with some people not knowing how to use mail merge. We would like to include a drop down in word that based on the selection would change the text throughout the document.
