A script is provided for syncing a google sheet & google calendar with 2 functions. Function A is completed, so it is only required to debug and finalise the function B
In the ghseet, there is a table with the following columns: status, title, start date, start time, end date, end time, timezone, recurrence time (eg every Sunday), all notifications, descriptions,
Function (A) Already exists and working - Update Gsheet from Gcal
This function will pull all calendar events of a specific calendar for the selected year, to the gsheet.
It will check each event in calendar if it already exists in the gsheet table.
1) if the event exists in gsheet, it will update its status to "Active"
2) if the event does not exist in gsheet, it will add it in a new line with all its data
FUNCTION (B) partially done - Update Gcal from Gsheet
It will check each event in calendar if it already exists in the gsheet table.
1) if the event exists (same titles) in gsheet and its status is "Active", it will not do anything
2) if the event exists (same titles) in gsheet and its status is "Update", it will update the gcal event with all the fields of the gsheet and modify the status in gsheet to "Active"
3) if the event exists (same titles) in gsheet and its status is "Disabled", it will delete the event from gcal
4) if the event does NOT exist in gsheet, it will delete the event from gcal
5) if it is a new event in gsheet, it will have a status "New". In that case, it will add a new gcal event with all the fields of the gsheet and modify the status in gsheet to "Active"
Notes
a) In all checks between gcal and gsheet events,the checked value will be the event title.
b) An example of a calendar event and the gsheet format, is provided in the enclosed pictures.
