Sumifs function

I need to organise some data. I have data from a business about each of their line items, revenue by each customer for each line item over a period of time. I am looking to summarise this as total income by customer over multiple time periods, then do a further analysis on top 50. I also need to break down one of the line items into two subcategories using item codes.
