Startup GL Bookkeeping & Closings

I run a fast-growing startup in Saudi Arabia and I’m looking for a hands-on bookkeeper who can own our General Ledger and steer us smoothly through each month-end close. Your main mission will be to deliver accurate, on-time financials while ensuring full VAT and withholding-tax compliance.

Day to day, you’ll reconcile every balance-sheet account, prepare and post closing journals, and flag any variances before they become issues. Because cash is king in a young company, you’ll also help me stay on top of liquidity using the tools we already rely on—Odoo for the core data, with Excel and Google Sheets for quick analysis and reporting.

What makes this role different is the blend of startup pace and KSA regulations. I need someone who already understands the Saudi tax landscape, can work independently, and enjoys improving processes instead of just following them.

Key deliverables each month:
• Completed GL reconciliations with supporting schedules
• VAT and withholding-tax filings ready for submission
• Cash-flow snapshot and rolling 13-week forecast in Excel/Sheets
• A concise month-end close report exported from Odoo
