Project Title: SEC Enforcement Action MANUAL Data Collection
Description:
I am looking for a freelancer who can provide assistance with data collection on SEC enforcement action against cross-listed firms. This is a MANUAL collection and no coding is required. I will provide a spreadsheet with SEC release numbers and you have to fill in the rows as follows.
1. Check if a respondent is a firm or an individual
a. If it is an individual, move on to the next row (many of them are individuals)
b. If it is firm, then proceed to step 2 below
2. Check whether the location of the firm is in the U.S. or in a foreign country
a. For location information, check the SEC release in Column C or conduct a Google search
b. If the location is in the U.S., enter “1” in Column G
c. If the location is in a foreign country, enter the firm name in Column H and the country name in
Column I
d. For both cases b) and c) above, provide the source of information in Column J for our validation
in the future
In total, we have 23,663 administrative proceedings and litigations.
