I am seeking a meticulous and resourceful individual with institutional access to scientific databases (e.g., via Shibboleth or OpenAthens) to conduct a targeted literature search and procure relevant scientific papers. The goal of this project is to identify or further research innovative third-party service ideas that can enhance the sustainability of logistics and supply chain operations, thereby aiding companies in complying with current and upcoming environmental regulations.
Responsibilities - Conduct comprehensive searches on Google Scholar only for scientific papers related to the following topics:
- Topic 1: AI-Powered Route & Load Optimization with Integrated Emissions Tracking & Reporting
- Topic 2: Sustainable Logistics Marketplace with Carbon Footprint Calculation & Regulatory Guidance
- Topic 3: End-to-End Sustainable Logistics Strategy & Compliance Consultancy
- Topic 4: Comprehensive Sustainable Logistics Knowledge Platform with Expert Network & Tools
- Topic 5: Urban Consolidation & Electric Last-Mile Service with Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
- Topic 6: Reverse Logistics Optimization Platform with Environmental Impact Assessment & Compliance Features
- Topic 7: Supply Chain Emissions Collaboration Platform with Regulatory Updates & Best Practices Sharing
- Topic 8: Training & Certification Programs on Sustainable Logistics & Regulatory Compliance

Tasks:
- For each of the 28 topics, identify and select 15 relevant scientific papers published within the last 5 years (2020 - 2025).
- Accurately record the details of each selected paper in an Excel sheet, following the format provided in the attached sample. The required fields are: "In-text Citation," "Topic," "Title," "Harvard Reference (copied from Google Scholar)," and "Link."
- Download the full-text PDF of each selected paper.
- Rename each PDF file to precisely match the "In-text Citation" recorded in the Excel sheet. For authors with multiple publications in the same year, append a lowercase letter (a, b, c, etc.) to the year in the "In-text Citation" and the corresponding PDF filename to ensure unique identification (e.g., Ghosh et al. (2025a)).
- Organize and store the downloaded PDF files in separate folders, with each folder named after the corresponding "Topic."
- Ensure that the selected papers are highly relevant to the specified topic and focus on third-party services or service ideas applicable to making logistics and supply chain operations more sustainable and compliant with regulations.
- Proactively communicate any challenges in finding the required number of relevant papers for any of the topics, allowing for collaborative problem-solving.
- Pay meticulous attention to detail throughout the entire process, ensuring accuracy in data entry, file naming, and organization.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in conducting scientific literature searches using Google Scholar and accessing full-text articles through institutional subscriptions (e.g., Shibboleth, OpenAthens).
- Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and sustainability principles and familiarity with environmental regulations relevant to logistics and supply chains is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy in data management.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data entry.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and adhere to the specified formatting requirements.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
Deliverables:
- A ZIP file with 28 folders, each named after one of the specified topics, containing at least 15 relevant PDF files (unless otherwise communicated and agreed upon). Each PDF file will be named according to the "In-text Citation."
- One Excel sheet containing the bibliographic information for all the procured papers, formatted as per the attached sample.
