Research National Rifle Association (NRA) Donations to American Politicians and Statements the Politicians Have Made
Budget: $20 – $30 USD
I am interested in data that can be put into a spreadsheet:
1. For each Year:
2. For each politician who received money from the NRA that year:
a. How much money did they receive that year?
b. What public statements did they say of interest to the NRA that year:
(1) Gun ownership rights.
(2) Second Amendment rights.
(3) Use of guns to commit crimes.
(4) Mass shootings that have occurred.
(5) Weapons used to commit mass shootings.
(6) Crime rates.
Once a politician has received money from the NRA, you need to go back to years prior to then and fill in 2.b. (1) to (6) for the earlier years they didn't receive money, and include them every year.
To make sure you are able to find this information correctly, the first milestone will be to produce a sample for 1 or 2 politicians only - the first ones you find. Then I want you to find as many as you can.
