Ranker System

I am looking to hire a freelancer to help me create a ranking system for my project. The criteria I will be using to rank the items will be based on a point system. I am open to suggestions for a specific algorithm for the ranking system, so I look forward to any ideas the freelancer has. The ranker system is going to be used on an excel spread sheet.
