Quality Control Inspector for Metal Supplier

I'm seeking a freelance Quality Control Inspector to assist at a metal supplier in New South Wales. The role will involve conducting FSI (First Stage Inspection), PSI (Pre-Shipment Inspection), witnessing cutting and measuring, and reporting on all observations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect overall functionality of metal components
- Ensuring measurement accuracy, material quality and surface finish
- Reporting key measurements: dimensions, angles and surface finish
- Check the quality of welding joints for strength and durability.
- Verify the material certifications provided by the supplier.

Meeting: A meeting will be arranged to discuss the requirements in full.

Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Experience in quality control, particularly with metal suppliers
- Proficient in using measurement tools: caliper, DFT gauge, radius gauge, micrometer, tape meter and protractor or any angle gauge
- Able to conduct telescoping tests with provided equipment: M12 bolts, M6 bolts, M16 bolts and limestring
- Excellent reporting skills

Equipment: You will need to bring your own measurement tools and equipment for the telescoping test.

Access to specific facilities at the supplier's site will be required.
