Project Status Reporting

I am looking to have a relational database developed that would allow us to develop cost estimates for projects, tie those projects to customers, manage the status of those projects and report on the projects.
We use QuickBooks for our billing and accounting and I would like to be able to download customer data from QB and not have to enter it again. Currently I use an Excel spreadsheet to develop the cost estimates for projects and another Excel spreadsheet to manage the status of projects. I would like the project estimates to feed directly into the project status database and then we could manage the projects from the main database as well as report on the project status.
I am attaching the current Excel spreadsheet that I use to develop the cost estimate for a project and also the current Excel spreadsheet that I use for managing projects.
