Programmer to help convert PDF/Images to Excel

I'm looking for someone who can design a program that would allow me to convert PDFs and/or check images (usually JPEGs) into Excel files rather than having to manually transpose the data. I've tried converting the PDFs using programs like Adobe, but correcting the formatting from the export takes more time than it does to manually transpose the checks. The formatting of the excel file is going to be crucial for this project. (one PDF and one JPEG).
