Payroll Frequency Calculator Automation
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We evaluate paystubs and there is a level of variety that comes with them. 12, 24, 26 or 52. Based upon frequency there are 4 fields that require a unique calculation. The other variable would be the number of paystubs that have been submitted.
Ideally, we'd like to have 2 questions, how often is the applicant paid and how many paystubs do you have to input?
I'd also like to be able to add more paystubs should a client send more over time. Or should I have like 6 of them to utilize for calculations. Currently we copy and paste the row and then modify the summation formula's. At times I need to analyze prior year commissions with this years commissions.
Lastly, at times we have a client with multiple sources of employment, at that point we duplicate those cells.
Upon extraction of the data from our master sheet, there are columns that are blank, these are hidden and are not used during income calculations. We'd need to keep these hidden, but they can be used for calculations if needed. Hidden columns are in Neutral.
Also there's a date of 1/1/year in a hidden column as well. This date is used to determine the number of periods and number of periods remaining in the year. Occasionally we'll need to annualize prior year's income and we use the final paystub of the prior year for that. Uncertain how we'd add that to a drop down or make it automated so that it'd understand to use the year of the paystub to determine the start of the period calculation. I'm no expert here with excel.
