Need excel formula
Budget: $10 – $11 USD
Need an excel formula that give us a value from a sum, with as lower item counts as possible. eg
we have the numbers 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 and we want to achieve 13. That sum will be 11+2 (there are other possibilities but i took this one), if we want to achive 21 it will be 10+11, if we want to achieve 27 then we have 11+11+5. Basicaly this formula has acctualy a purpose. We have 4 different items. Item A can have 2 or 3 pipelines, item B can have 4 or 5 or 6 pipelines, item C can have 7 or 8 pipelines and item D can have 9 or 10 or 11 pipelines. We need to find a formula that give us for an amount of pipelines the best item combinations to have as little unused pipelines as possible. Eg. we need to build something for 14 pipelines. If we would use 2 x D item, we will have 22 pipelines and 8 will be unused. If we use 1 item A and 1 item D then we will have max 3+11 = 14 pipelines, This is perfect. Now we need a formula that works for2 to 50 pipelines.
