1. Figure 1 shows a typical floor consisting of composite slab supported by steel beams.

2. Using the general design data given in Table 1, develop a calculation spreadsheet using Microsoft Excel or any other suitable programming software to design the composite slab.

3. Please use the type of profiled steel sheeting (PSS) designated for each student as shown in Figure 2. Please refer to book "Composite Structures according to Eurocode 4 - Worked Examples" for other design data and material properties.

4. You have carried out structural analysis if there are midspan temporary props to determine maximum hogging bending moment (Mg & Mq) and support reaction (Fg & Fq). You may use a software such as StaadPro etc.

5. Submission format: Microsoft Excel or any other suitable programming software.
