I need a structural engineer who can run the full calculation package for pre-engineered metal buildings, concentrating on loading considerations, wind forces, and seismic forces. Your first task will be to set up accurate models in STAAD and spreadsheet templates in Excel, then iterate the framing until we hit two key targets: lower material cost and higher structural integrity.

All work has to satisfy the governing local or state building codes, so you must be comfortable interpreting regional provisions and documenting compliance. You will be collaborating directly with our drafting team; clear mark-ups and prompt feedback loops are essential to keep drawings and calculations in sync.

Deliverables
• STAAD model files and supporting Excel sheets
• Signed calculation report showing load paths, member checks, connection checks, and code references
• Optimization summary highlighting weight savings and strength improvements
• Quality-assurance checklist confirming internal peer review

Required background
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with proven metal building or steel design experience
• Solid command of STAAD and advanced Excel workflows
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and proactive communication
