? Project Overview
We are looking for a data analyst with expertise in medical device classification to help map our hospital’s inventory of disposable medical supplies and device parts to two global classification systems:
1. EMDN (European Medical Device Nomenclature) – Required for EU MDR/IVDR compliance.
2. UNSPSC (United Nations Standard Products and Services Code) – Used for procurement and supply chain management.
This task requires accuracy, attention to detail, and experience with medical product categorization.
? Project Scope & Deliverables
You will be working with two Excel files:
1. “List to be sent to Analyst.xlsx” (Main Inventory File)
• Contains a list of medical disposables and device parts used in our facilities.
• Each row represents a unique item that must be mapped to both EMDN & UNSPSC.
• You will add four new columns to this sheet:
• EMDN Code (from reference sheet)
• EMDN Name (from reference sheet)
• UNSPSC Code (from reference sheet)
• UNSPSC Name (from reference sheet)
2. “Global Item List.xlsx” (Reference Data for Mapping)
• Contains official EMDN & UNSPSC codes in two separate sheets.
• You will use these sheets to correctly classify each item from our inventory.
✅ Requirements & Skills
✔ Experience in medical device classification & inventory management
✔ Familiarity with EMDN (MDR/IVDR) & UNSPSC
✔ Strong Excel & data handling skills
✔ Attention to detail to avoid misclassification
