Medical Data Excel Descriptives

I have a hospital research dataset that currently lives in a database and now needs to be explored in Excel. I only need descriptive statistics—no predictive work—so the focus is on clarity and accuracy, not complex modeling.
Here is what I’m after:
• Export the data from the database (SQL or CSV dump—whatever is quickest) into Excel.
• For every numeric variable, calculate the mean and the median.
• For every categorical variable, create a frequency distribution that makes it obvious how often each category occurs.
• Present everything in a clean, well-labeled worksheet so a clinician can read it without hunting around. If you can drop in simple histograms or bar charts to make the distributions pop, that’s a plus.
I’ll provide database credentials or a dump file, along with a brief data dictionary so you know which fields are numeric versus categorical. I’ll consider the job complete when the workbook opens with no errors, the numbers match quick spot-checks against the source, and the sheet is tidy enough to hand straight to the medical team.
