Mechanical Estimator - Pipework
Budget: €2 – €6 EUR
FULL TIME POSITION
We seek the services of a Mechanical Estimator / Take-Off to assist with on-screen measurements of quantities mainly for pipework systems and cost estimating tasks,
Responsibilities:
1. To preform measured quantity on-screen take-offs from Mechanical Pipework drawings
2. Transfer quantities to template excel spreadsheets producing a bill of materials
3. Quantity take-offs to be preformed accurately and in a timely manner
4. Report to and liaise with Senior Estimator
5. Quantity take-offs to be preformed and delivered to our requirements
6. Conduct in-dept reviews of tender documents, drawings, specifications, schedules, etc.
7. Request, manage and evaluate supplier and sub-contractor quotations.
8. Issue tender queries and RFIs.
9. Prepare costed bill of quantities.
10. Prepare tender reports, tender pricing schedules and other tender return documents.
11. Other related tasks as instructed
Requirements
1. Previous experience undertaking measured quantity take-offs from Mechanical/HVAC/Plumbing drawings
2. 3rd Level Engineering/Science Qualification (Cert, Diploma or Degree) in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building Services Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
3. Fluent in spoken and written English
4. High level of computer skills especially with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
5. You must have your own laptop / computer, Microsoft office, BlueBeam and a good internet connection
6. Prior use of BlueBeam, Trimble or PlanSwift will be and advantage
