Match Excel-Tally Ledgers
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I have an exported ledger from Tally and a separate Excel workbook that should mirror it line for line. My priority is to verify that the Date of transactions and the Account names in each row agree across the two files.
Here’s what I need you to do:
• Compare every row of the Excel sheet with the corresponding row from the Tally export, checking only the date and the account name fields.
• Whenever either field does not match, immediately make that cell’s contents bold so the discrepancy stands out at a glance—no color fills or borders, just bold text.
• Return the reconciled workbook (or a new one, if you prefer) with all mismatches clearly highlighted. A lightweight VBA macro or formula-driven solution is fine as long as it’s easy for me to rerun when new data arrives.
Send back the finished file plus a short note explaining the method you used so I can maintain or tweak it later.
