Help needed using XLSTAT to analyse data
Budget: £10 – £20 GBP
We need your help for us to analyse over 19,000 horse races.
First query is to calculate profit levels with specific odds. This will show us roughly the chance that the selection wins, how much profit does that usually generate within that odds range.
In the excel sheet, we have pivot tables showing all the selections in each race and the horse with the shortest odds. We want to analyse a couple more things from this. 1) how profitable is the horse with the shortest odds in each race and 2) when there are smaller amount of selections, how much of an effect is there?
From the data we have - 19,138 races - we calculate that 68.56% are races where no selection wins. 31.44% are races where one of the selections lose.
From all of the selections we have calculated a sum of profit 360. But we know that we could possibly improve this profit by focussing on a different odds data range. Currently it is 1.01 to 200
So, we want to calculate how profitable selections are under 200/ under 195/ under 190/ under 185 etc. Or between specific odss - e.g between 10-200.
We have XLSTAT installed so it would be preferable if you could use this or help/teach us to use the various functions to help analyse our data better.
