Fix a problem in an existing macro which pulls data from a word document and populates and Excel file

A developer created a macro for me which pull data from a word document and puts it in Excel. I am having some problems in the macro but the developer who built the macro is not available anymore. I need to get it fixed asap.
Please let me know if you an expert in this
