Excel vba extensive use of pivot tables

We have an excel wkbk that is updated weekly from a filtered database of approx 50,000 lines (time records from our production department). It has been working for well over a year now and it generates a number of reports that are used in our managment meetings. It uses pivot tables extensively (I think it has 6 or 7 pivot caches) and macro's to do much of its work. It has several "quirks" that require work arounds every week and I believe these are caused by my ugly programming skills over the slow evolution of this workbook. I would like to get someone to learn what it is doing (this will likely be most of the time used) and then help to "fix it" or reconstruct it. I think the necessary skills will be a willingness to dig deep into a working spreadsheet and learn what functions it provides, good understanding of pivot tables, and strong background on building macros that update pivot tables
If there are changes to be made to this working wkbk, there will be an emphasis on making the solution easy to understand and maintain. I am soon to retire and I would like to have someone accessible to address technical issues that will come up in the future. This is a good test for both of us to see if we can work together well.
