Excel sheet with formulas

Hi,
I have a list of 1000+ items. Each item is listed individually in one column in Excel (B1 contains one item, B2 contains another item, B3, etc.).
I would like someone to make me an Excel sheet with a formulation where for column A, I would like to be able to paste a list of items (ex- "apple, orange, pear") in one cell. Then I would like the formula to search all of the items listed in column B and highlight or mark which items in column B match one of the words in column A.
I would also like some instruction as to how I execute the formulation.
