Excel: Stocks formula/calculator that calculates 7-day high & 7-day low -- 2

Job ID: 33268250

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

Make a calculator that calculates 7-day high and the 7-day low for any US-traded stock or ETF, based on the "Stocks" data feature in Excel, or using Barcharts.com/excel integration with Excel.

For example: You can do the project this way: Get the daily highs and lows from the Excel Stocks feature, and use a script to compile this data in a table in the second sheet (and more sheets if necessary) of the workbook. Then the calculator that you create will determine the 7-day high and the 7-day low from this data. To do this, you may have to use more than seven days for this project, which is fine.

I prefer that you make this calculator entirely in Excel, using VBA. For any (or all) macros, please create a button that I can click to run the macro.

Please see the attached files, which explain the format that I wish to have. Notice that there is a main sheet, and a second sheet for the calculations: Put the tables of price history on the second sheet, and the calculations either on that sheet or on a third sheet. You can create as many sheets in the workbook as needed for the calculator.

On the main sheet: For each security in Column A, the 7-day high should appear in Column D and the 7-day low should appear in Column E.

A key feature of your calculator will enable the following:
I will be able to add new securities to Column A (of the Main sheet (first sheet)), and add more from time to time. When I add a new security in Column A, your calculator will begin compiling daily highs and lows on a second sheet (or 3rd sheet or whatever number of sheets is required, it's OK) in the workbook. Then after seven days, your calculator will provide the seven day high and seven day low in Columns D and E respectively, of the Main sheet.

If it is not possible for you to complete this project with the application entirely based in Excel, then please let me know during the bidding process. i.e., if you have to have a second program outside of Excel.

If you need to use barcharts.com/excel for the datafeed: That is fine but I think that the Stocks feature in Excel will provide all the information that you need. If you use barcharts.com/excel, you will need an account with them, and I'm not sure if they provide a free trial account.
