Excel Specialist for Construction Budget Template
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m looking for an experienced Excel specialist to help finalize a budgeting template for a construction company. This stage of the project is mostly formula and template work, but basic VBA familiarity is required to understand and potentially adjust existing macros.
Scope:
In the ‘Dropdown Lists’ sheet, create dynamic named ranges for about thirty-three sections. Each section is a column with a header in row one and a list of categories beneath it. One example is already in place as a reference.
In the ‘Preliminary Budget’ sheet, replicate the structure of three existing input sections across all thirty-three sections. Each section includes:
— A dropdown for category selection, tied to that section’s dynamic named range.
— A code column that looks up a value based on the selected category.
— Add and remove row buttons already implemented in VBA. When adding a row, the macro must apply the correct data validation specific to that section’s dropdown.
Requirements:
Strong skills with Excel formulas, data validation, and dynamic named ranges.
Basic VBA knowledge to review and modify the existing macros as needed—no complex development required.
Ability to follow structure and naming conventions carefully.
This is not a complex build, but it is detail-oriented. I’m looking for someone reliable to take the task off my plate and execute it with minimal oversight.
Please include examples of similar Excel work and a brief summary of how you’d approach this task.
